A STUDY IN SCARLET (1887; 1893 US)

    

“A study in scarlet” adalah buku pertama Sherlock Holmes yang ditulis oleh Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Buku ini menceritakan tentang pertemuan Dr. John H. Watson dengan Holmes yang berlatar tahun 1881, Selanjutnya buku ini menceritakan tentang "science of deduction" yang digunakan holmes dalam menyelesaikan sebuah kasus pembunuhan.

THE SIGN OF FOUR (1890) 

“The sign of  four” adalah buku misteri kedua Sherlock holmes yang ditulis sir Doyle dan juga merupakan salah satu dari empat novel misteri Sherlock holmes. Novel ini berlatar tahun 1888 dan mengungkap beberapa fakta unik dari Sherlock holmes.
